NPS: THORNDYKE WILL MISS VICTORIA DAY SPEEDFEST AT CTMP

David Thorndyke and the #67 Thorsons EVT Chevrolet team were gearing up to return to competition in the 2023 NASCAR Pinty’s Series at the Castrol Victoria Day Speedfest at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) on Sunday May 21st. Regrettably Thorndyke will be forced to miss the first race on the team’s planned schedule for a small medical procedure.

The Oshawa, Ontario driver sat out the 2022 season undergoing treatment and got a clean bill of health last fall. Car Chief Adam Thorndyke set about making some significant upgrades to the #67 Thorsons EVT Chevrolet for a return to competition this summer, however that plan is now on hold temporarily.

“I took care of the issues last year and we were on track to get back in the car and race at CTMP” stated Thorndyke. “But at a routine follow up it was recommended I get some additional warranty work done so it’s all scheduled, and I should be ready to go later this summer. It’s too bad because Adam has kept working on the car and I’m very eager to get on track and see how much we’ve improved. I also want to say thank you again to everyone that’s reached out to see how we’re doing. One more small fix up and we’ll be good to go”.

Though the #67 Thorsons EVT Chevrolet Camaro won’t be on track until later in the summer, David Thorndyke and the entire team encourage fans to support the NASCAR Pinty’s Series and enjoy the great racing.
